Day 3 Moments of Gratitude for the New Year.
I am one lucky girl! Every single morning I wake up to my husband’s loving smile. There’s nothing more precious than starting the day with someone who not only loves you but believes in you.
During this trip, I’ve come to understand that my husband is not only affectionate by nature but by heritage. The intimacy of spending quality time with loved ones, listening to the local dialect, while catching up on family gossip is the foundation of the family unit, creating an atmosphere rich with shared experiences and laughter. As I navigate through conversations with my clumsy French nostalgia and joy, I find myself appreciating the deeper cultural roots that shape his character, further solidifying my love and admiration for him. The simple act of gathering around a table, sharing stories and laughter, underscores the importance of family traditions and their role in nurturing these relationships.

It’s New Year’s Eve, and we are spending the evening with loved ones’. We bring all the goodies to ring in the year, smoked salmon, Prosecco, shrimp, farsi, cheese and chocolate.
Each celebration acknowledges what is new, while paying tribute to the stories, practices, and values that have shaped my husband’s values.
