Today is Monday, September 1st, 2025… I cannot remember a time when September 1 landed on a Monday; that’s got to be significant. September is my birth month, the beginning of fall and the start of the final quarter of the year.

To say that I am excited is an understatement. In the midst of all this, my husband and I are getting remarried in just a few weeks. The amount of planning and logistics is insane and exhilarating. I am excited to bring together friends and family for this joyous occasion, particularly my American friends who have never traveled abroad before and speak no French, meeting up with my husband and my new family in the south of France. It promises to be an enchanting experience, rife with cultural mishaps and misunderstandings. I’m excited for the beauty and barefoot glamour and calamity of it all.
