As I sit here in the quiet space between years, I’m reflecting on what 2025 actually was—not what I thought it would be, but what it taught me about building a life that feels true.

This wasn’t the year of overnight success or viral moments. It was something better: a year of foundation-building, of learning to trust myself, and of discovering that real progress often looks nothing like we expect.

What 2025 Taught Me About Accountability

I learned that accountability isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up consistently, even when the metrics don’t scream “success.” It’s about making strategic decisions, like sunsetting platforms that drain your energy, and doubling down on what aligns with your voice.

I became a US government contractor this year. Let that sink in. The same woman who was rebuilding her identity became someone institutions trust. That didn’t happen by accident—it happened through consistent effort, strategic bids, and refusing to diminish myself.

What 2025 Taught Me About Love

Love showed up in unexpected ways this year. My husband and I planned and executed our second wedding—a celebration of choosing each other again, of honoring our journey across cultures and continents. It reminded me that reinvention isn’t just professional; it’s deeply personal, relational, and worth celebrating.

Love also meant learning to love my voice enough to keep writing, keep building, keep creating—even when the audience was small.

What 2025 Taught Me About Trust

I learned to trust the process that doesn’t look like anyone else’s timeline.

I landed an interview with a reputable journalist—validation that my story matters, that what I’m building has weight beyond subscriber counts.

I developed my French, deepening my connection to the place I now call home. Language learning is its own form of trust: trusting that fluency comes through practice, not perfection.
