A 15-Minute Yoga Practice for Hormonal Balance
Last week was a reminder that the body speaks — loudly, if we’re not listening.

Hormonal depression, mood swings, vertigo. The familiar and unwelcome cocktail of perimenopause doing what it does. This week I chose to respond rather than wait. I returned to my yoga practice and recorded a 15-minute session designed specifically for women navigating hormonal shifts.
What the practice includes:
- Belly breathing — slow, rhythmic, nervous-system-regulating
- Spinal twists — the first movement capacity to decline with age, and one of the most restorative to reclaim
- Forward folds, child’s pose, downward dog — spinal decompression and gentle surrender
- Quadruped and supinated arm/leg extensions — alignment and deep core activation
- Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) — brain-hemisphere balance; remarkable for mood
- Mudras — Yoni (feminine), Shiva (masculine), Gyan (concentration)
The video is 15 minutes and will be released as five short clips. Voiceover is being re-recorded to match the quality of the visuals — watch this space.
If your body has been loud lately, this practice is for you.
